It depends... what are you going to be using your board for? Cruising around, big hills, dancing/boardwalking? It also depends on how much you are willing to spend...

i don´t want to race really big hills. i´m more interessred in the other stuff like dancing, walking, crossstepping, carving, manuals... it don´t have to be a pretty expensive board or a low budget one. it just have to be good for beginners.

Your best bet would be to search the forums and product reviews at silverfishlongboarding.com, you'll be able to find a whole lot more info than I could ever give you.

I'm sure lots of people started on sector 9 cheap reliable
I call it the "gateway" board. you'll learn a lot on one of their pintails

My own experience from longboarding is that it's easiest to start of with a pintail, such as the Sector 9 420 Pintail wich was my very first board.
Once you've gotten those sweet cross-steps, shuvits, manuals, "whatever", and you are completely in love with longboarding, you might wanna move on to a board wich suits you the best. A small, hard one for shuvits and flips or a weird, soft one for stepping and awesome carves (such as the Loaded Dervish) or basicly anything in between.
Hope I could help.
Be good to each other.
