Hi everybody! I was wondering what board to use for pushing a long distance, as in several miles. What board would do best? are there some things that the board has to have? like drop thru?

i think drop thru would be more for if u got to attack hills, for a cruising board my preference would be a board with some camber, the LBL Walkabout would probably be good... www.longboardlarry.net/boards/walkabout.phpor the lbl "eddie"...http://www.longboardlarry.net/boards/walkabout.php or I really like the sector 9 cosmic series boards for cruising and for medium hills... www.sector9.com/#/product/boards/

The Walkabout isn't really a long distance pusher Its a long distance PUMPER very cool board , really nice flex heres a video of James Peters pumping and riding www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_hO3AQ-evUThe eddie, in my opinon, is prolly ok if your looking for a board to het you from one side of town to the other. But if you looking for a board to push long distance like 25+ your best bet would be somehting dropped and something light. The LBL drop pin is a perfect choice (get the 12 ply one, 15 is too heavy) I will actually be pushing a LBL drop pin 200 miles 3 or 4 days this summer A couple of my friends and I are skating from Vancouver Wa (my homebase) to Sunriver, Or which is pretty close to Bend, Or. I will be taking pictures and making a documentary and will definitely share it with all of you when I get back.

I'm leaving in 36 hours
It's gonna be a blast supposedly we're going down this road that's about 35 miles of a decent hill (30mph average) and depending on time we might stop by Maryhill and some of the surrounding hills such as Rowena, Senator, and the Mosier Tunnel. I'll definitely have some good pictures, stories and video to share with you guys when I get back.
